OpenVPN

OpenVPN Inc. is the company behind the open-source OpenVPN protocol, first released by James Yonan in 2001 and 2002. Co-founded by Francis Dinha, its chief executive, and Yonan, it is based in Pleasanton, California. It sells remote access and secure networking products to organisations ranging from small firms to large enterprises.

• Access Server — a VPN the customer hosts itself, on Linux, Docker, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or a cloud provider, with tailored access rules and checks on identity, device and IP address.
• CloudConnexa — a cloud-delivered service, formerly OpenVPN Cloud, linking applications, private networks, remote staff and IoT devices with zero trust controls.
• Network protection — content filtering, IDS/IPS and domain-based routing rules within CloudConnexa, with support for OpenVPN or IPsec connections.
• Open-source work — continued maintenance of open-source OpenVPN components.
