Mach9 makes web-based AI CAD software that drafts civil engineering features from LiDAR and other scans of roads, utilities and sites, for surveyors, engineers and transportation agencies.
Mach9 Robotics Inc. makes AI CAD software for civil engineering. Its web-based tool reads point clouds captured by mobile, terrestrial and drone scanners and produces a first draft of the drawings surveyors and engineers need, which they then check and finish in the same tool. The company started by building scanning hardware and moved to software about two years before its Series A in October 2026.
Customers upload scans from equipment they already own; Mach9 names Leica, Phoenix, RIEGL, Trimble and NavVis among supported sources and lists them as partners. The AI drafts features such as breaklines, curbs, striping, poles, signs and surfaces and flags items that need a second look. Users accept the drafted lines, adjust vertices or draw features by hand, with built-in quality control tools, and export to DXF, DGN, Esri Feature Services and field-to-finish survey formats. The company claims centimetre-level accuracy at infrastructure scale and extraction up to ten times faster per technician.
Survey and engineering firms, transportation agencies, telecommunications companies and electric utilities. Named customers include WSP, HNTB, NV5, Olsson and Pennoni, and public bodies including Caltrans, Minnesota DOT, the Maryland State Highway Administration, WSDOT and the US Department of Energy. It reports more than 2,500 projects in all 50 states and more than 100,000 miles of corridor surveyed.
