AppyWay

AppyWay began as AppyParking, a smartphone app meant to take the frustration out of finding a space. To feed the app, the team had to build its own parking data because no standard source existed.

That meant digitising old plan drawings, mapping parking zones by hand and requesting records from councils. The result is described as London's largest digital parking database.

What AppyWay offers

• Parking app — directs drivers to a suitable bay near their destination, including single yellow lines where parking is allowed.
• Restriction timelines — clear views of when parking is and is not permitted through the day.
• Event-day information — restrictions around match days and concerts.
• In-app payment — pay by the minute in cities where the service handles payments.
• Parking database — mapped zones and rules compiled from council and survey sources.

Who it works with

The app is used by ordinary drivers, couriers, delivery partners and blue badge holders, mostly in London and other UK towns.
