Johnson Chou Design

Johnson Chou Design is an interdisciplinary design practice that has operated since 1999, working across architectural and industrial design, furniture and interiors, and graphic identity and corporate communications. The firm describes its body of work as built around conceptual explorations of narrative, transformation and multiplicity, with each project's narrative drawn from the client, whether based on their personality, an image they want to project, or a literary source. Its site describes this approach as an interpretation of a client's image, culture or brand, which the firm refers to as narratives of inhabitation. Its past projects include advertising offices for two named agencies, head offices for a beverage company's Canadian operation, and private residences within the 10 Bellair and Candy Factory condominium buildings in Toronto.
