Process Simulator

Process Simulator installs as an add-in to Microsoft Visio and turns flowcharts into running simulation models. People who already draw processes in Visio can test them without leaving the program.

The listing also mentions FutureFlowRx, a related patient flow analytics platform from the same family of tools.

What Process Simulator offers

• Visio simulation — add simulation properties to a new or existing flowchart.
• Animated runs — press play and watch the model operate.
• Output reports — dynamic reports on what the model produced.
• Value stream and workflow models — simulation of maps as well as flowcharts.
• FutureFlowRx — combines predictive analytics, discrete event simulation and digital twin technology to forecast patient census and bed capacity.

Who it works with

Process improvement teams, and hospitals through the patient flow platform, which supports what-if scenario planning.
