Emails buyers who abandon a Polar.sh checkout a link back to their saved cart, and also follows up failed renewals and cancellations; free for 50 emails a month, Pro $19 a month flat with no share of revenue.
Not yet independently verified. The date rests only on the maker's own Show HN post, and the home page reports a first full month of live results, so it was running before then. No company is named: the terms say Snagr is run by an individual in India, and every legal document was last updated on 22 September 2026. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
Snagr is for merchants who sell digital products and subscriptions through Polar.sh, the merchant-of-record platform, and want to follow up buyers who leave checkout. You connect a Polar organisation by OAuth or a read-only token. When Polar reports an expired checkout, Snagr sends a three-email sequence, at 30 minutes, 24 hours and 48 hours, with a link back to the saved cart. It also sends failed-renewal reminders timed around Polar's own four card retries over 21 days, and a win-back email 30 days after a cancellation. A conversion within 14 days of the latest email is counted as a recovery, and 5% of triggered sequences are held back as a control group so the dashboard can show the lift over sending nothing. Email goes through Resend; data is held with PlanetScale, Upstash and Vercel in the United States. Pricing: Free, $0, 50 recovery emails a month from a shared sending domain, one Polar organisation; Pro, $19 a month flat, shown as an early-bird price reduced from $29 and kept only while the subscription stays active, or $199 a year, adding unlimited emails, your own sending domain, unlimited organisations, editable templates and holdback reporting. Snagr takes no share of recovered revenue. Polar handles Snagr's own billing, and a first Pro payment can be refunded within 14 days. It is not affiliated with Polar. Its terms state that it is run by an individual based in India rather than an incorporated company, are governed by Indian law, and cap liability at the greater of 12 months' fees or US$100.
