Made by Volvo Cars
The Volvo EX40 is a compact electric SUV that Volvo Cars sells in the UK for the 2027 model year. The page describes a five-seat layout, a lean body that still keeps the ride height and ground clearance SUV buyers expect, and a size aimed at urban driving.
Volvo quotes 356 miles of combined electric range for the Single Motor Extended Range version. Charging from 10 to 80 percent on a 200 kW DC charger takes 26 minutes for the Single Motor version. The Twin Motor Performance version produces 442 hp and covers 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds.
The boot holds 410 litres and grows to a maximum of 1,400 litres with the rear seatbacks folded, including a 59-litre compartment under the floor. A power tailgate opens from a button outside the car or on the centre display, and at higher equipment levels also from the key fob or the Volvo Cars app. Pixel LED headlights with 84 pixels per unit can shade out up to five vehicles at once. Wheels go up to 20 inches. Google services come through a digital services package included for four years.
Four trims are listed: Core from £39,610, Plus from £42,610, Plus Pro from £44,610 and Ultra from £48,610. Adaptive cruise control is part of Core, Pilot Assist arrives with Plus, and Plus Pro adds a 360 degree camera. The page also shows personal contract hire from £499 a month and a finance contribution of up to £4,250 on Plus and Ultra.
