The Toyota bZ4X is a battery-electric SUV sold in the UK as part of the company growing electric range. Toyota UK page presents it as a family-sized car with a choice of front-wheel drive and, on selected grades, all-wheel drive with X-Mode, which is meant for slippery surfaces.
The UK page quotes a WLTP range of up to 352 miles on the Design grade, which works out at about 566 km, while the Excel Premium Pack with front-wheel drive is listed at 316 miles. Battery sizes of 57.7 kWh and 73.1 kWh appear on the page, although one frequently asked question gives a different figure, so this profile does not attach a capacity to any single grade. Toyota says a 10 to 80 percent charge takes roughly 32 minutes. Two cables are supplied, a three-pin domestic lead and a Type 2 cable for AC charging.
The latest Toyota Safety Sense package is fitted. The page names Safe Exit Assist, the Rear Seat Reminder System, the Pre-Collision System, Toyota Advanced Park, Intersection Collision Avoidance Support and Emergency Steering Assist. Owners use the MyToyota app to check the charge level, schedule charging, locate charge points and warm or cool the cabin before a journey.
The standard vehicle warranty is three years or 60,000 miles, and the service activated warranty can extend it to ten years or 100,000 miles. The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, and the Battery Care Warranty stretches that to ten years while keeping at least 70 percent capacity.
