Made by MG Motor UK
The MGS6 EV is a mid-size electric family SUV that MG positions around comfort. It uses the Modular Scalable Platform, an architecture built only for electric cars, and is offered in SE Long Range, Trophy Long Range and Trophy Dual Motor forms. The configurator headline car has a 77 kWh battery, rear-wheel drive and 180 kW.
MG quotes up to 329 miles (529 km) of WLTP combined range for the SE and Trophy Long Range cars. All variants charge from 10 to 80 percent in 38 minutes on a 150 kW charger under standard test conditions. A combined integrated braking and energy recovery setup is said to add range, with five regenerative settings including one-pedal driving. The Trophy Dual Motor offers all-wheel drive and reaches 62 mph in 5.1 seconds. Five drive modes are listed: Normal, Sport, Eco, Snow and Custom.
A 12.8 inch touch screen and a 10.25 inch driver display form a twin-screen layout, and a head-up display is listed on Trophy models. The MG iSMART system can prepare the cabin before the driver arrives, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. MG Pilot covers emergency braking, lane departure warning, cruise control that adapts to traffic and blind spot detection, and a Custom function saves personal settings. A five-star NCAP rating and seven airbags are stated. The rear boot holds 674 litres and the front boot adds 124 litres on rear-wheel-drive variants.
