The Proton e.MAS 7 is the battery-electric model that opened the e.MAS sub-brand, launched in Malaysia in December 2024. Proton calls it the first national battery-electric vehicle, and it later became the car with which the company returned to Singapore.
Three variants carry the AEGIS Short Blade battery in different sizes. The Prime has 49.52 kWh and a WLTP range of 345 km, the Premium has 60.22 kWh and 410 km, and the Premium Plus has 68.39 kWh and 450 km. Proton says the battery is ready for more than one million km, a figure based on its own internal testing. The motor is described as a 12-in-1 integrated unit, with no power figure given on the page.
Proton states that fast charging adds over 200 km of range in 20 minutes. The page gives no kilowatt rating for DC charging and no 10 to 80 percent time. Charging is handled through the e.MAS app, which is available on the App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery. The charging page says the app shows live connector status and fees and lets a driver start and pay for a session on different operators' stations.
All variants have Level 2 driver assistance: intelligent cruise control, automatic emergency braking, emergency lane keep assist, a lane change warning, traffic sign recognition and front cross traffic alert. Evasive manoeuvre assist and active lane change assist are also listed. Proton's page states a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating from 2024 with a score of 92.57.
In Malaysia the on-the-road prices without insurance, after a RM7,000 launch rebate, are RM96,800 for the Prime, RM112,800 for the Premium and RM118,800 for the Premium Plus.
