Sources in Vehicle factsThe MG4 EV Urban is a smaller, city-focused electric hatchback that MG sells beside the MG4 EV. It has front-wheel drive and a one-speed automatic gearbox, and it is aimed at city driving, with a practical boot. Three trims are shown: Comfort Standard Range, Comfort Long Range and Premium Long Range.
MG quotes up to 258 miles (415 km) of WLTP combined range from the 53.9 kWh battery. A heat pump is standard, which is meant to protect winter range. Five drive modes include Sport, and regenerative braking recovers energy while slowing. MG quotes a 10 to 80 percent charge in 28 minutes on a 150 kW charger for the Comfort Standard Range version. The entry configuration shown with the starting price is a 42.8 kWh, 110 kW front-wheel-drive car.
Standard items include 16 inch alloy wheels, a 12.8 inch touch screen, a 7 inch driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera and keyless entry. The Premium Long Range adds wireless charging, online apps such as Spotify and YouTube, a 360 degree camera, heated electric front seats, a heated steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system. Climate controls remain physical buttons.
The boot holds up to 577 litres, including 98 litres of underfloor storage. ADAS covers emergency braking, lane keeping and blind spot detection, and MG Pilot Custom lets the driver save preferred settings. Seven airbags are fitted. Euro NCAP rated the MG4 EV Urban five stars in 2025.
