CGP was founded in 1969 as Color Graphic Press by Paul Rochman, the current president and managing partner of the company Specializing in catalog and promotional printing, providing customers with graphic arts production services, including typesetting, art prep, prepress, finishing, and ink-on-paper offset printing production

Client demand for complete project management for catalog publishing and advertising production led CGP to expand by offering a full photography studio at our operation in Long Island City In short order, we were doing graphic design and creative development and by 1992, after we got our first Macs and PC’s up and running, CGP was doing complete concept development and design for catalogs, brochures, promotional work, and advertising, thus becoming a complete creative-production resource for clients

In 2000, we moved our design and photography studio to Hudson Yards in mid-town Manhattan Around this time we also started providing digital printing and imaging services in addition to our standard high quality offset print production services Our expanded product offering now included large format graphics and signage, dye sublimation printing on fabric materials, vehicle and window graphics, billboards, and variable data printing for one-to-one direct marketing projects

The advent of wide format digital imaging services also made it a natural progression for CGP to design, produce and install trade show booths and displays for conventions, conferences, and event management projects
