Blacks In Technology

Blacks In Technology, often shortened to BIT, is a worldwide network for Black people working in tech. It supports members through community, media and mentoring, and sets out to raise the bar for technical skill while closing the representation gap it calls the divide.

What Blacks In Technology does

• Community and chapters: local groups run through the BIT Foundation, with chapters such as Atlanta and Chicago.
• Mentoring: career guidance for members, from internships to longer-term development beyond learning to code.
• Podcasts and media: the BIT Tech Talk series of interviews with engineers, founders and data scientists, plus chapter podcasts and news posts.
• Job board: current openings from employers and universities for engineering, data and security roles.
• Events: the BITCon conference and related gatherings.
• DEI writing: articles on diversity, equity and inclusion at work, such as using exit interview data to judge workplace culture.
