Egis Software

Egis Software supplies document management and enterprise content management software, sold under the PaperTrail name. The company is based in South Africa and aims to replace paper filing with searchable electronic records. It also offers custom development work.

What Egis Software offers

• Document management — stores, searches, retrieves and sends documents electronically instead of on paper.
• Workflow and approvals — routes documents to the right people at the right time, with controlled access and reporting.
• Contract management — covers renewals, addendums and signing inside a secure repository.
• E-signature — lets users sign documents electronically.
• Business modules — separate tools for leases, employee lifecycles, supplier invoices and travel-industry invoice collection.
• Scanning and capture — bulk capture, optical character recognition, barcode and form recognition, and searchable scanned files.

Who it works with

The products suit organisations that want to automate paperwork, from property agents handling tenants to finance and HR teams. Setup, training, maintenance and a help desk are part of the service.
