What Changan makes

Changan is a Chinese car maker whose global website presents a group of passenger and light commercial vehicle brands. The brands shown there are AVATR, DEEPAL, CHANGAN, CHANGAN NEVO and CHANGAN LCV. The company describes its cars as living spaces that should feel safe, smart and comfortable for the people inside.

Where it builds and sells

The newsroom covers activity well beyond China. Stories mention launches or events in Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Europe including the United Kingdom and Germany, and the Middle East and Africa, with a Riyadh launch event among them. In Thailand the company says it has invested more than 10 billion baht in a plant at Rayong, which it calls its first overseas integrated new energy vehicle production base. Its electric line-up

The DEEPAL brand lists five products at present: G318, S09, S07, S05 and L07. CHANGAN NEVO lists the E07, A07, A06 and Q05, and the site says range-extended versions of the A05 and Q05 are sold overseas, where a combustion engine only generates power for the battery while an electric motor drives the wheels. The DEEPAL S05 began production in Thailand in March 2025 as the first DEEPAL built there, and the NEVO Q05 made its Thailand debut at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show in 2026. The S05 also went on sale in the UK in 2026. The AVATR brand shows the AVATR 07, which the company says was shaped by a European design team.
