0sql is a semantic layer offered as a service by Strata Business Intelligence, LLC. A team describes measures, dimensions and filters in a structured specification, and 0sql returns the SQL for that query in the dialect of the target database; the site lists 13, including Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, Athena, Trino, ClickHouse, DuckDB, MySQL and SQL Server. It never connects to the warehouse itself, so the generated query runs inside the customer’s own network, and row-level security rules are compiled into the SQL it produces. The maker says generation is deterministic and takes microseconds. The pricing page says the service is free during early access with no published tiers or limits, and promises 30 days’ notice before any pricing is introduced. The maker presented it on Hacker News on 6 October 2026. Buyers should check how metric definitions are versioned and how the service would be priced after early access.
