The right provider depends on your workload, where your users are and what your team can run, not only on its place in this list. Before you shortlist, check:

  • The hosting type you need: shared, WordPress, VPS, dedicated or bare metal, cloud, CDN, colocation or domains
  • Servers in Europe if your users or your data-protection rules need them there
  • Renewal prices and contract terms, not only introductory offers
  • Who runs what: managed or unmanaged, and support hours in your time zone
  • Backups, restores and how easily you can leave
