Explaining why an AI system decided what it decided, and then checking that it keeps behaving, is the thread that runs through Fiddler AI. Founder and CEO Krishna Gade says he started the company with Amit Paka about eight years ago, after seeing at Facebook how hard it was to explain a ranking model to a very large audience. The work began with explainability, grew into model monitoring and evaluations, and now covers agent observability and runtime guardrails.

One control plane for agents and predictive models

Fiddler describes its product as an AI control plane that spans agents a company builds, third-party agents and coding assistants, from the moment code is written through production. Its pieces include continuous evaluations, agentic observability that traces each agent decision, policy enforcement, ML observability for predictive models, and governance, risk and compliance reporting. It says the platform works across model providers and clouds, naming Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph among over a hundred integrations, with partnerships including Amazon SageMaker, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Databricks and Datadog.

Guardrails that run inside the customer's environment

Fiddler Centor Models are small evaluator models that run in the customer's own environment, which the company says avoids paying an outside LLM provider for every evaluation. Its guardrails sit in the request and response path of an agent, detect and redact personal data, health data and secrets, and are quoted at under 80 milliseconds. Deployment is offered as SaaS, in a customer's VPC, on premises or in AWS GovCloud. A free plan covers real-time guardrails, a developer plan is usage-based at $0.002 per trace, and an enterprise plan adds named support and flexible deployment.

Joining CrowdStrike

On 3 November 2026 Gade announced that Fiddler had signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by CrowdStrike. He wrote that CrowdStrike supplies context on identity, endpoint activity and cloud resources while Fiddler traces an agent's instructions, tool calls and results, so security and safety questions can be answered together. The company's site also lists coverage of a $30 million Series C round, and its board includes partners from Lightspeed, Insight Partners and RPS Ventures. Named customers on its pages include Nielsen.
