Lakion

Lakion is an e-commerce development team that builds custom online shop applications and mobile APIs on Sylius, the open-source platform it has contributed heavily to. Sylius runs on Symfony and PHP. The team works in an agile way and writes tests first.

What Lakion offers

• Custom e-commerce applications — stores built on Sylius for business models that off-the-shelf platforms do not fit.
• Mobile APIs — back-end interfaces that feed shopping apps.
• MVP development — early product versions that let clients gather customer feedback quickly.
• Legacy migration — moving businesses off older e-commerce systems.
• Training and consulting — coaching in-house teams, including the team that launched fashion retailer Reiss's store in 2016.

Who it works with

Lakion works with startups and with established businesses moving from legacy platforms. It uses behaviour-driven development with Scrum and lean startup methods, and shares its knowledge through open-source projects, workshops and conference talks.
