Hactar

Hactar is a digital, design and technology studio that works for charities and other organisations with a social purpose. It plans, designs and builds websites and digital services, with a particular focus on the Wagtail content management system.

What Hactar offers

• Strategy — workshops, training and planning for digital change, including product roadmaps and user journeys.
• UX and service design — research into user goals, personas and service maps before any build begins.
• Design — interface and content design shaped around business requirements.
• Wagtail builds — websites and applications developed on Wagtail, linked to outside tools such as CRM and payment systems.
• Ongoing support — help after launch, from light-touch support agreements to closer partnership.

Who it works with

The studio works with small charities run by volunteers and part-time staff, and with larger organisations and global brands. Its case studies include openDemocracy, UNISON, the National Literacy Trust and Primetime.
