Caravel Labs

Caravel Labs is a software design and engineering studio set up as a Delaware public benefit corporation. It builds digital products for organisations working towards social, economic and environmental goals, and helps them grow their own engineering teams.

What Caravel Labs offers

• Impact research — studies of how a software project affects people, communities and economic outcomes.
• SDG measurement — building the tracking of Sustainable Development Goal indicators into products so clients can report impact.
• Product design — user research and early feedback before development starts, to cut rework later.
• Software delivery — ideation workshops, proof-of-concept builds, full implementation and site reliability engineering support.
• Team and culture coaching — strategy, training and coaching so client teams can run and own the product themselves.

Who it works with

The studio targets mission-led organisations and innovators at any project stage, from early exploration to running a live product.
