The Benjamin Franklin House project was a complex project with a tight time scale
The task: take a mostly derelict, Grade I listed 1730s building and in less than a year make it a showpiece for 21st technology – opening on Benjamin Franklin’s 300th birthday in January 2006
Your team provided the help we needed to scope, select and manage the installation of the right equipment that would deliver on our aims to create a dynamic museum and educational facility in Franklin’s only remaining home
The challenges included choosing the right technology to make the Historical Experience possible
The Historical Experience, run from a sophisticated show control system, is a heritage first, employing a ‘museum as theatre’ approach which integrates live performance with cutting-edge sound and visual projection
The Student Science Centre, Scholarship Centre, and offices likewise needed the technology to drive them forward
In a building where we weren’t allowed to place a nail into any of the original panelling, they helped us work through innovative solutions including voice over IP
