Open-source tooling that turns API specs and Markdown into typed SDKs, docs and MCP servers.
Cortex, from Cortex Docs, is an open-source "API knowledge layer" for developers and AI agents. It takes an API specification — OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, gRPC or OpenRPC — together with Markdown, and generates typed SDKs in 11 languages, interactive documentation and an MCP server, so one source describes an API both to people and to agents. The MCP servers it generates carry typed tools, the embedded specification and SDK guides. It is MIT-licensed, and no paid tier is published. It is listed as "Cortex Docs" because several established products share the Cortex name, including an internal developer portal and a security platform.
