Salesforce's first CRM reasoning model, post-trained from NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and run inside Salesforce's own trust boundary.

About Koa

Koa is Salesforce's first CRM reasoning model, announced with NVIDIA at Dreamforce on 15 September 2026 and built for Agentforce. It was made by post-training NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super — a 120-billion-parameter open model whose training datasets NVIDIA publishes — on a proprietary synthetic dataset. Salesforce states that no customer data was used: the training corpus simulates enterprise workflows across more than 14 industries, including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and travel, pairing a persona with a task and mapping the sequence of tool calls an agent must make to finish it. Post-training used supervised fine-tuning together with reinforcement learning (Group Relative Policy Optimization) on NVIDIA NeMo RL, NeMo Gym and NeMo AutoModel, with a judge scoring whether the simulated customer's problem was actually resolved. Salesforce's engineering account adds that the model was deliberately trained for the case enterprises worry about most — being asked for something no available tool can do — to say plainly what it cannot do and hand off, rather than call a similar-sounding tool. Salesforce holds the weights and runs post-training and inference inside its own infrastructure, so customer data does not cross the trust boundary and customer traces are not used to train the model. On Salesforce's own CRM benchmark, a suite of tasks such as updating an opportunity, routing a case or scheduling a follow-up, Salesforce reports that Koa matches or exceeds leading models on CRM actions with roughly three times fewer errors; that is a ratio against unnamed models on the vendor's own benchmark, and no absolute figure is published, so no score is recorded here. Koa runs inside Salesforce already, including an agent in Slack, and is with pilot customers named as 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union, Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine and Xero. It is available to selected pilot customers now, with general availability expected in winter 2026 in US regions. No context window, per-token price or licence for the weights is published.
