Not yet independently verified. The date is the Hugging Face repository’s creation time (2 October 2026); one tracker gives 30 September. Benchmark results are from the developer’s own technical report, so no score is stored. The only other report found is a tracker summary. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
Index-Translate-35B-A3B is a preview translation model from the Index team at Bilibili, the Chinese video platform. It was published on Hugging Face on 2 October 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence. It is a mixture-of-experts model built on the Qwen 3.5 base, with 35 billion parameters in total and about 3 billion active per token, and its model card says it translates text across 150 languages. Beyond plain translation, it is designed to follow instructions about terminology, formatting, style, structure, context and output length, for example keeping to a glossary or shifting tone from formal to casual. It belongs to a family that also includes smaller dense 9B and 2B models. The developer’s technical report compares it with other translation models on standard benchmarks; those results are its own, so no score is stored here. The weights are free to download, and no hosted API price is stated. For businesses, the appeal is a translation model that can run on their own infrastructure under a licence that permits commercial use.
