doodad

doodad is a commercial print house in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, that sells only to the trade. It has been printing for more than 50 years and never approaches its resellers' own customers, so print brokers and publishers can pass its work on under their own name.

What doodad offers

• Booklets and catalogues — bound printed pieces for publishers and resellers.
• Direct mail — EDDM and direct mail pieces, plus detached address labels.
• Shared mail wraps — wraps for shared mail publishers.
• Inserts — one-page advertising inserts for publications.
• Flyers, brochures and postcards — short-run marketing print for campaigns.

Who it works with

Its production is organised by market, with ranges for shared mail publishers, publishers that carry advertising inserts, and resellers running print campaigns. Printing businesses quoted on its site say they have used doodad for 20 to 30 years and credit it with steady turnaround and help during pandemic supply problems.
