John is an entrepreneur at heart and founded Masson & Associates in 2012 He studied at the University of Manitoba before obtaining his CA designation in 2009 Before starting the firm, he articled and worked for a larger national accounting firm He was raised on a farm in southwestern Manitoba and now resides in Brandon with his wife and three children He loves to travel whenever he gets the opportunity John enjoys working with agricultural and owner managed clients and his areas of expertise include incorporation, farm program payments, and transition planning

Matthew joined Masson & Associates in 2019 He studied at both Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College before obtaining his CPA designation in 2019 Before joining the firm, he worked as a Retail Sales Tax auditor and as an accountant in the window and door industry Matthew grew up on a mixed farm in southern Manitoba He currently resides in Brandon with his spouse and daughter and in his spare time he enjoys reading He most enjoys working with the firm’s small business clients

Sarah joined Masson & Associates in 2023 She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree at Brandon University in 2016 and was CPA designated in early 2019 She worked at a national accounting firm and as an accountant in the construction industry before joining the firm She was raised in Brandon where she currently lives with her husband and two daughters In her free time, she enjoys baking and travelling Sarah enjoys all work at the firm but has a special interest in working with cloud bookkeeping, personal tax and agriculture clients

Alleesha joined Masson & Associates in 2015 She studied at Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree Her work experience includes ten years in municipal administration and five years in the banking industry She grew up in Virden, and she and her husband now live on an acreage just east of town, where they raise and maintain a small herd of Dexter Lowline cattle Alleesha enjoys photography and playing the fiddle and piano in her free time She works primarily in the firm’s cloud bookkeeping practice and assists many clients with their day-to-day transactions

Maxine joined the firm in 2015 She graduated with a business certificate from Assiniboine Community College She has worked in the accounting field for many years but previously worked as a laboratory technologist She and her husband raised their three children on a mixed farm operation in the Lenore district After transitioning this farm to their son, her and her husband now live in Virden Her hobbies include curling, golfing and gardening She primarily works with the firm’s agricultural clients

Marie joined Masson & Associates in 2018 when the firm expanded its practice to Moosomin She has an office administration certificate from Saskatchewan Technical Institute, and worked as an office administrator prior to transitioning to the financial services industry in 2003 Marie was born and raised on a farm in the Moosomin region She currently lives with her husband on an acreage in the same area Her interests out of the office include gardening and music She enjoys assisting clients with personal taxation

Kristen joined Masson & Associates in 2013 She has a business administration certificate from Assiniboine Community College and is working towards her Personal Tax Services Specialist certificate Before she started at the firm she spent several years working in administration in the medical and agricultural field Kristen was born, raised and currently lives in Virden with her husband and three children She has a love for travelling, fitness, cooking and supporting her children in a variety of sports and activities She primarily assists the firm with office administration, bookkeeping and tax preparation

Hayley joined Masson & Associates in January 2019 She has a certificate in Business Administration (Accounting) and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Commerce through Athabasca University She has spent many years in the accounting industry but before that lived and worked briefly in Ireland Hayley was born and raised in Virden, where she currently lives with her family She enjoys coaching volleyball in her free time Hayley enjoys working with personal income tax clients and preparing year-end financial statements

Daniela joined the firm in 2022 She has a Bachelor Degree in Accounting with an international finance specialization She worked several years in the financial department of a major naval engineering company before joining the firm She was born and raised in Venezuela and lived in Panama for several years She moved to Manitoba after meeting her husband through a mutual friend, where they now operate a grain farm near Alexander She enjoys dancing, travelling, reading and trying new foods in her free time She primarily assists the firm with office administration
