UM6P Ventures

UM6P Ventures is the investment arm of University Mohammed VI Polytechnic and works as a venture capital firm for young companies. It was created to advance entrepreneurship and bring scientific research to market in Morocco and across Africa. It runs two funds, one for digital transformation startups and one for deeptech ventures.

Products and services

• Pre-seed and seed capital: funding for maturing startups, either directly or with regional co-investors.
• Digital transformation fund: investments made alongside incubators, accelerators, business angels and other venture capitalists.
• Deeptech fund: funding plus help recruiting skilled people, expert advice, and use of specialist labs, equipment and facilities.
• Venture building: it brings structure and business skills to founding teams and helps them prepare larger funding rounds.

Who it works with

Innovators and early-stage founders with a skilled, complementary team and scale potential. It is sector agnostic and names deeptech, hardtech, rural and remote-site solutions, AI, agriculture, chemicals, green technology and health technology.
