About Techammer

Techammer is run by Jeff Hammerbacher and Halle Tecco, who describe themselves as limited partners and angel investors supporting founders working on what they call meaningful problems. The site says they invest in data science, digital health, and companies working to speed up scientific progress, with particular interest in ventures that improve everyday life for Americans. Hammerbacher's background includes founding Cloudera, working as an entrepreneur in residence at Accel Partners, running Facebook's data team, and serving on the boards of Datavant, PerkinElmer and emids; he studied mathematics at Harvard. Tecco previously founded Rock Health and Natalist, sits on the boards of Cofertility and Collective Health, and teaches at Columbia Business School and Harvard Medical School. The pair are originally from the American Midwest, met in San Francisco in 2007, married in Italy, and now live in London.
