Grand Angels was founded by former Grand Bank founder and CEO Charles C Stoddard and serial entrepreneur, Craig T Hall They recruited community leaders willing to join them in the vision of making “investments with a difference ” In 2005, Jody D Vanderwel was recruited to serve as president of the organization Upon her retirement in 2016, Tim Parker became their second president

Ashley Ward is the founder and CEO of Hire For Hope, a Certified Women-Owned talent solutions firm, specializing in securing the best talent in executive search and direct hire professional placements With an eye for talent and a devotion to the growth of West Michigan, Ashley joined Grand Angels to help lead the charge in making meaningful investments into startups that help our local economy thrive

Grand Angels meets the second Wednesday of every month from 4:00 to 6:00pm in Grand Rapids to review deals for investment opportunities, attend educational workshops, and participate in networking sessions
