CHL Medical Partners, also referred to on its site as CHL Healthcare Partners, is a private investment firm that starts and grows healthcare services businesses. Over the past twenty years, the firm's principals have invested in a number of healthcare companies, including American Renal Associates, Ascend Health Corporation, Camitro Corporation, Genomic Health, Medicus, Odyssey Healthcare and Sempercare, several of which were later acquired by larger healthcare or insurance groups. Current portfolio companies named on the site include CareWell Urgent Care Centers of New England, Ambra Health and Spine Wave. The firm states that in each of these companies its principals were founding investors or among the first institutional backers. It points to the overall scale of US healthcare spending, which its site describes as very large and continuing to grow, as the reason it keeps looking for new opportunities to start and grow businesses in the sector.
