About BioRock Ventures

BioRock Ventures is a seed-stage venture capital fund that invests in private life science companies developing novel, FDA-regulated therapeutic drugs, across all disease areas, stages and therapeutic modalities, from angel and seed rounds through Series A and later financings including pre-IPO and M&A situations. The fund is led by founding managing partner Mary Wheeler, based in the Bay Area, California, who spent two decades in operating roles, including as a therapeutics startup founder in Boston and in business and technical evaluation roles for mergers, acquisitions and licensing at larger pharmaceutical companies. She began venture investing roughly a decade ago and helped form two companies that each later completed initial public offerings.
