Over the past 15 years we've seen and done pretty much everything--simple html-based static "brochure" sites, custom-designed WordPress themes, or custom-developed web application back-ends that satisfy exactly what the client needs with no additional bloat

With our skilled developers, Javelin creates custom back-end application environments for clients that need tailored solutions that "do" something more
It might be a simple customized membership form that has a variety of notification/payment options or a completely overhauled work- and time-tracking system

It's a bit of a divergence from our normal workload, but we've found a very specific need for robust, well-designed graphics for courtroom use
So Javelin creates and produces everything in-house, from simple black and white enlargements to customized magnetic boards with markers—anything attorneys need to best illustrate their case to judge and jury

  Client: Genesis Engineers, Inc

Problem: Genesis Engineers needed a tool that would allow quick and easy sharing of project files in a secure per-project format
Other readily available solutions like Box
net would work, but required a per-seat license--not economically feasible when there might be hundreds of contractors involved on any one job

Solution: Javelin created a new "FTP" system that allows Genesis admins to create new projects and assign user permissions on a per-project basis
Although there was an initial cost to develop the code, the system now relies on cloud storage for files with no limit on storage amount
Genesis can now add one or one thousand users to a job with no additional/ongoing charges

The custom system also flags user-uploaded files for admin approval before display, email notification to other users of a project, and many other custom solutions to best fit Genesis' needs

Problem: Nielsen-Kellerman was interested in a simple, powerful tool to allow it's customers to register products with the company as well as raise return authorization (RA) requests for product updates and repairs

Solution: Javelin created a new user portal that allows customers to log into their account, update their contact information/profile and add products to their specific account
Once registered to the account, the system uses stored personal information to allow raising RAs with minimal user input

Client: MacLaren Group of Marcus and Millichap
Problem: The MacLaren Group was interested in a solution that would allow them to update their own "brochure" site as well as a way to share property information with registered and logged-in users

Solution: Javelin started with a custom-developed WordPress theme that enabled the client to update standard page content on their site
We then created a custom-login area that records user information so MacLaren can share selected listings with users
Recorded logins are used for follow-up emails and calls

Client: Bowman Properties, Ltd

Problem: The client had ongoing issues with work-order time tracking and an antiquated approach for entering and tracking tenant problems and resolutions

Solution: Javelin interacted with Bowman to identify core issues and prioritize solutions
We created a custom work-order entry and tracking system with unique views for admin, staff, employees and tenants
Each view allows for input/output of information tailored to each user's device; the system provides seamless integration of information between user levels

With the new system, Bowman is now able to accept tenant requests for repairs directly through a tenant portal, prioritize the request and assign the task to a specific employee
Using an Android OS-friendly mobile website view, employees in the field can log their time, look up property information, more
Conversely, the office can track their time and location

Client: Sisters of Saint Joseph - Philadelphia
Problem: The Sisters of Saint Joseph (SSJ) had an aging website that was hard-coded and difficult for their technical department to regularly upgrade
They wanted a solution that would allow easy administrator updates as well as protect member-only specific information
