Esten

Esten is a software development company that designs and builds bespoke systems for business clients. Its team works on long-term projects rather than one-off deliveries, and the site says it has about eighteen years on the market.

What Esten offers

• Custom software development — applications and back-end systems built around a client's requirements.
• Migration to microservices — one case study moved a very large monolithic back end for a German electric-vehicle charging network onto a microservice design.
• Data and reporting systems — a project for collecting data, defining calculations and auditing results.
• Healthcare applications — a digital version of a maternity record used to improve patient care.
• Open Sovereign Cloud — an open-source cloud environment built on SAP's Gardener clusters, keeping data under European law.

Who it works with

Clients range from start-ups to manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and banking. The first analysis of a new idea is offered without charge for a consultation.
