LogMeIn Pro

LogMeIn Pro is remote access software for reaching one's own computers from somewhere else. It is made by LogMeIn, which describes itself as part of the GoTo family of products. Once LogMeIn Pro is installed on a Windows PC or Mac, the owner can open that computer from another computer, from a web browser, or from the LogMeIn apps for iOS and Android, and work on it as if at the desk.

The product page lists:

• remote control of the computer;
• file transfer between the two machines;
• remote printing to a local printer;
• support for multiple monitors;
• unlimited users on an account.

Plans also include antivirus for the connected computers, powered by Bitdefender.

LogMeIn Pro is sold in three sizes by the number of computers covered: Individuals, up to two computers; Power Users, up to five; and Small Businesses, up to ten. Each can be billed annually or monthly, and a free trial is offered. Prices on the vendor's page vary by region and were not shown to our reader, so they are not given here.

LogMeIn Pro is personal and small-office remote access. It is not a help-desk tool: for supporting other people's devices, the same company sells LogMeIn Resolve.
