MIPAR

MIPAR is image analysis software that finds and measures features in micrographs and other pictures. It began in materials science and now covers life science and aerial survey work as well. Its aim is to replace slow manual measuring.

What MIPAR offers

• Materials analysis — grain size following the ASTM E-112 standard, phases, particles, fibres and defects.
• Particle characterisation — size, roundness and satellite counts for metal powders.
• Fibre and crack work — porosity and thickness of nanofibres, and crack density in additively manufactured parts.
• Life science analysis — fibrosis quantification in stained tissue, nuclei counts in fluorescence images, leaf cell and stomata identification, virus particles and bacterial colonies.
• Batch processing — sample sets run automatically, with distributions, statistics and reports.

Who it works with

Companies and universities of different sizes use it for research measurements. Professional licences include solution development and training.
