KOLC+ adds a ¥10,000 single-project plan for Japan public works
19 October 2026: KOLG, a Tokyo software company, will offer a new "ASP plan" for its BIM/CIM cloud KOLC+ from 1 April 2027: ¥10,000 a month before tax, with no set-up fee, for a contractor or consultant that uses the service as the information-sharing system on a single public project. Quotes can be requested from 4 January 2027.
Not yet independently verified. The release date rests on the company's PR TIMES release; its own news page was not found, and the pricing page confirms the plan without a date. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
What the plan includes
The ASP plan allows 100 GB of storage, 100 users and one project, and includes the workflow and online electronic delivery functions used on projects for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Its functions match the existing Light plan. The release says it supports projects for MLIT, the agriculture ministry and some local governments.
KOLC+'s pricing page sets it against the existing plans:
| Plan | Monthly price (before tax) | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| 3D plan | ¥30,000 | 100 GB, 100 users, 100 projects |
| Light plan | ¥15,000 | 100 GB, 100 users, multiple projects, no 3D |
| ASP plan (from April 2027) | ¥10,000 | 100 GB, 100 users, one project |
Workflow and online electronic delivery cost ¥3,000 a month per contract as an add-on to the other plans, and contracts run for three to twelve months.
Why the price is changing
In Japanese public works, the client and the contractor exchange documents, approvals and deliverables through an information-sharing system, usually called an ASP, that must meet MLIT's requirements. KOLG says KOLC+ has already been used this way on thousands of projects, mostly design and survey work, but its plans were designed before that use took off, so a firm buying it for one short or small project paid well above the usual ASP rate and often chose another system.
The company also says that in September 2026 KOLC+ met MLIT's mandatory requirements for information-sharing systems on construction work, excluding the conditional ones, which opens the construction side of the market alongside design work.
Recent changes to the ASP functions
The release lists the ASP features added recently: a workflow list with editable subjects and reply dates, tag filters, read tracking with a daily reminder email, changing an approval route after submission, circulating drafts, and two-factor authentication switched on by default, with tighter rate limits and login notifications. KOLC+ launched in November 2020 and KOLG says more than 500 firms use it. Our BIM software category lists 12 products.
