Leaf Space

Leaf Space operates a distributed network of ground stations for small satellites. Its concept is satellite telecommunications offered as a service, so operators do not have to build their own ground segment.

Services

• Time-shared ground access: operators use stations as needed.
• Customised telecommunication solutions: links built around the operator's mission.
• Ground station procurement: sourcing and managing the equipment.
• Consultancy: advice on satellite operations.
• Backup services: fallback communication capacity.

Who it works with

The service is aimed at operators of small satellites. By outsourcing communications, they cut development time and turn the ground segment into a predictable ongoing expense.

Key facts

• Model: satellite telecommunications as a service.
• Infrastructure: distributed ground stations.
