XLineSoft

XLineSoft produces PHPRunner, software that generates web applications around data a business already holds. A developer points it at a database, lays out pages visually and adds custom logic only where it is needed. The company says more than 75% of the largest US companies on the Fortune 100 list use its software.

What XLineSoft offers

• Database-to-app builder — creates pages for viewing, adding, editing, searching and reporting on records.
• Page Designer — visual layout of pages with a choice of themes, plus event code and built-in AI help for custom functions.
• Access control — logins, user groups and permissions, with Active Directory, Okta, SAML and OpenID sign-in on enterprise editions.
• Charts and dashboards — several chart and report types that can be adjusted to suit each application.
• Templates — starting points for common business applications that can be adapted and merged into existing projects.

Who it works with

PHPRunner is aimed at developers and companies that want to put internal databases online. The finished application runs on the customer's own servers, and projects can keep growing with new pages and workflows over time.
