The Signup Place

The Signup Place is a website for building signup sheets and polls that people fill in online. Organisers of volunteers use it so members can pick their own event slots, and it also runs group memberships and tracks hours. Its founder first wrote volunteer software for his dog agility club in 2008 and later rebuilt it as a service open to other organisations.

Services

• Signup templates: tables of rows and columns that can be reused and scheduled to reopen daily, weekly or monthly.
• Polls: grids where every member has a row of their own, and these can sit alongside signup tables.
• Groups and membership: public or private groups with their own joining forms and renewal cycles, and members who do not renew are dropped automatically.
• Messages: confirmation, reminder and renewal emails written by the organiser.
• Tracking and reports: fields per member such as hours served, reports ready to print, and export to a spreadsheet.

Who it works with

Businesses, clubs, faith groups, schools, sports teams and families. It charges on a pay-per-use basis instead of a subscription, and small basic signups cost nothing.
