TecNXS

TecNXS is a small software company in Wichita, Kansas that makes AquaResource, a tool for running backflow prevention programmes. Water utilities use it to keep track of testing devices, while certified testers and property owners use it to file reports and check status. The product runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to install.

What TecNXS offers

• Administrator tools — track devices and compliance, send yearly test notices and follow-ups, and keep records ready for audit.
• Tester reporting — testers file results from a phone, tablet or computer, with pass/fail checks before submission and one login across several jurisdictions.
• Customer self-service — property owners can look up a device's status, find an approved tester and update notice preferences.
• Implementation and support — the team walks through a utility's current process and keeps helping after launch.

Who it works with

TecNXS works with municipal water utilities and water boards. It names customers in Minnesota, Louisiana, California, North Carolina, Utah and Alabama, including Provo City and the City of Asheville.
