PrestaShop

PrestaShop is a French open-source e-commerce platform, founded in 2007, for creating and running online stores. Merchants can download the code at no charge and install a shop on their own server, or choose the managed hosted version. The company puts weight on merchant ownership of the store and its data, and on avoiding lock-in to proprietary systems.

What PrestaShop offers

• PrestaShop Classic — the self-hosted open-source edition.
• PrestaShop Hosted — a managed version where hosting is handled for the merchant.
• Modules and themes — thousands of add-ons for payments, marketing, shipping, social selling and automation.
• Expert network — agencies and freelancers who help merchants build and run their stores.
• Support and learning — a support team, guides and a blog on selling online.

Who it works with

PrestaShop is used by merchants of every size, from new founders to established retailers, and says more than 250,000 merchants run stores on it. Its community lists over 250 experts, 150 partners and more than a million open-source contributors and members.
