pdfforge

pdfforge is a German developer whose main product is PDFCreator, a Windows tool for converting, securing and automating PDF documents. The software can be installed on single desktops, on terminal servers shared by many users, or on servers that produce PDFs in bulk without manual input.

What pdfforge offers

• PDFCreator Professional: the desktop edition for businesses, adding advanced encryption, user tokens, custom scripts and priority support.
• PDFCreator Terminal Server: an edition for Citrix and RDS environments where many users need central PDF access.
• PDFCreator Server: server-side batch processing and automated workflows for high-volume PDF output.
• PDFCreator Free: a free edition for personal use to create, merge and convert PDFs.
• Automation features: passwords, digital signatures, PDF/A archiving, C

scripts, cover pages, and sending files by email or FTP once created.

Who it works with

The company highlights use in regulated sectors such as insurance, healthcare, finance and manufacturing, where teams batch-process records and need encrypted, standardised documents. IT administrators and integrators manage the terminal server edition.
