McCormick Systems

McCormick Systems produces estimating software for electrical contractors, bringing takeoff and bid building into a single program. The company states it has served estimators for more than 45 years and works with contractors in the United States and Canada.

What McCormick Systems offers

• Built-in takeoff — counts, labour hours and material figures are calculated while the estimator runs the takeoff on screen.
• Item and assembly database — a customisable library of over 55,000 items and 25,000 prebuilt assemblies for building bids.
• Material price updates — prices can be refreshed from major pricing services or a contractor's own supply house.
• Auto-count and Auto Home Run — features, one of them patented, for running several takeoffs at once.
• PDF editing — plan mark-up for handling late change orders.
• Cloud collaboration — several estimators can work on the same project together.

Who it works with

The software serves electrical contractors on builds, renovations and repairs, covering projects of any size and voltage type. Separate databases handle US and Canadian localities.
