Kuula

Kuula is a web platform, run by Kuula Inc., for turning panoramic photos into interactive 3D 360-degree virtual tours. Businesses and photographers upload images and publish tours that play on phones, tablets and VR headsets. The company says it is paid for by subscriptions rather than adverts and does not sell personal data.

What Kuula offers

• Tour editor — on paid plans, users can place labels and hotspots, patch the nadir and zenith, add floor plans, cards and a soundtrack.
• Broad camera support — images from Insta360, Ricoh Theta or Labpano cameras, DSLR panoramas, 3D renders and even flat pictures.
• Sharing and embedding — a tour can be sent as a link, placed on a website or attached to a property listing, and an export editor adjusts how the player behaves.
• Mobile and VR playback — WebXR support lets headsets and phones open tours without installing an app.
• Branding and domains — custom branding on the Pro plan and the customer's own domain on the Business plan.
• Video export — built-in recording turns a tour into a clip for social media.
