Dyn

Dyn is known for dynamic DNS, which gives devices with changing IP addresses a fixed, readable hostname. The service now sits within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, where OCI DNS handles both public and internal name resolution and can route traffic between cloud regions.

What Dyn offers

• Dynamic DNS — hostnames that stay pointed at devices whose IP addresses keep changing.
• Public DNS — primary or secondary internet-facing DNS for a business's domains.
• Private DNS — internal name resolution for cloud workloads kept away from the internet.
• Traffic steering — sends requests to different regions based on destination health, location and the source of the request.
• Load balancing — spreads application traffic across endpoints using equal or custom weights.
• Hybrid connections — serves on-premises networks linked to the cloud through a dynamic routing gateway.

Who it works with

Organisations running workloads on Oracle Cloud, including those with on-premises systems and users spread across several regions.
