Centralise

Centralise makes Centralise Meeting Rooms, an iPad app that turns a tablet outside a meeting room into a booking display. The UK developer keeps processing on the device itself, so calendar data travels straight to the screen without an outside server, which it says makes the app simpler to set up and maintain.

What Centralise offers

• Meeting room display — shows a room's calendar on an iPad, with colours, backgrounds, layout and features all adjustable.
• Ad-hoc booking — staff can book a free room from the screen, under rules the organisation sets.
• No-show release — cancels a booking automatically if nobody arrives within a set time, freeing the room.
• Calendar connections — works with Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook and iCloud, or a local calendar linked to nothing else.
• Quick setup — a start-up wizard, with subscriptions managed through the app store.

Who it works with

Offices and teams with shared meeting rooms; one subscription covers up to 10-12 devices under Apple's fair usage policy.
