About Seed Fonds Aachen

Seed Fonds Aachen now trades as TechVision Fonds. Since 2007 the fund has backed more than 40 startups across four fund generations, describing its team as engineers, developers, scientists and business people who help founders with strategy, product development, regulatory questions, hiring and sales. It invests primarily at the seed stage, with occasional initial investments at Series A, and says it prefers to lead a round while remaining comfortable co-investing alongside other venture firms and business angels. The fund says it mainly backs teams it can reach within two hours, valuing direct, in-person relationships over remote ones, and looks for a peer on its own team who understands each portfolio company's market and customers. Its portfolio has included Wakeline, which raised pre-seed funding, and Elevear, an AI audio company later acquired by Qualcomm.
