About Reed Elsevier Ventures

We typically invest at an early/mid stage, lead rounds and take active board seats.

However, we will also invest at a much later stage and take follower/observer positions for the right opportunity We make initial investments of between $1-$10m We back talented, ambitious entrepreneurs and management teams who have the drive to disrupt markets and build category leaders

Tony has over thirty years experience of building and financing early stage technology businesses. He was a co-founding partner of REV in 2000.

Previously Tony was at SOFTBANK/ News Corporation’s European joint venture fund, eVentures Prior to this Tony was in the media and telecoms consulting practice of Arthur Andersen Earlier in his career Tony launched the digital media business of Random House in Europe and then moved to Cellnet (O2) to co-create one of the world’s first wireless internet service providers, Genie

Tony currently is currently a board director at Agworld and Babbel and manages the firm’s investments in CreativeLive, EdCast, Fingerprint, LegalMation and SingleStore (f k a MemSQ)

Previously, Tony served as a board director with Activate Networks (acq DRG), Babylon (TASE: BBYL), Intraspect (acq Vignette), iPhrase (acq IBM), Partminer (acq IHS), Siperian (acq Informatica), SRD (acq IBM) and board observer with AllBusiness com (acq Dun & Bradstreet), Business com (acq RH Donnelly), Netli (acq Akamai) and TigerConnect (acq HeatlhQuest)

Tony started his career at Price Waterhouse and holds a BSc in Physics from Royal Holloway College, University of London

Kevin has been involved in early stage technology & venture capital since the late nineties, first as an entrepreneur & then as an investor. He was a founding partner of REV in 2000.

Prior to REV Kevin was at SOFTBANK/ News Corporation’s European joint venture fund, eVentures Prior to that he founded a venture backed derivatives pricing software company after starting his career in strategy consulting with Arthur Andersen

Kevin holds a Master of Arts degree in Social & Political Sciences from King’s College, Cambridge

Kevin serves as a director on the boards of Mode Analytics & Sixgill, and as board observer at Talix He was previously a director at Recorded Future (acq Insight Partners), Intelligize (acq LexisNexis), Healthline (acquired by Summit Partners), Inxight (acq Business Objects), Inpharmatica (acq Galapagos), Struq (acq Quantcast) & board observer at Intraspect (acq Vignette) and Y Charts (acq LLR Partners) He also managed the firm’s investment in Palantir

Daven joined REV as an Investment Analyst in 2018 and is responsible for market surveillance, company analysis and deal origination. He also supports both partners with deal execution and portfolio management.

Daven previously started his career as a management consultant with PwC in London, where he worked across strategy and implementation in the Capital Markets and Financial Services sectors

Daven holds a Master of Science degree in Economy, Risk and Society from the London School of Economics
