Network of New York City business incubators and accelerators run through NYU Tandon for early-stage ventures

A venture capital fund and residency programme backing early-stage founders and student entrepreneurs

Neo is a venture capital fund and residency programme that supports founders and technology leaders, combining seed investment with a startup residency, a recruiting platform and a mentorship community. It says it leads pre-seed and seed funding rounds and has funded 275 companies since 2017, describing their combined valuation as very large, using capital raised mainly from more than one hundred industry leaders and technology veterans. Neo Residency offers a grant and workspace at its SF site to student teams building their own ideas, including a bootcamp in Oregon, and the programme's standard terms for start-ups include participation rights in a company's next equity round. It says its Neo Scholars programme is aimed at college students who excel at computer science, and lists founders of Cursor, Chai Discovery, Applied Compute, Flint and Cognition among its scholars. Neo also says it offers perks with OpenAI and Microsoft to participants in its programmes.
